Okay so I love rhubarb crisp and my mom gave me a great recipe that uses rhubarb but you don't have to add strawberries, or danish dessert! Usually you have to use something with it, but with this recipe it is so good- you don't miss the danish or the strawberries. Of course if you have some on hand go ahead and throw em in!
10 rhubarb stalks- chop thinly
toss with the following:
2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 teasp. cinnamon
1/2 to 2/3 cup of flour
Pour this into a 9x13 pan
Mix the following for the top:
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup oats
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
not quite 1/2 c shortening
crumble this together and put on top of the rhubarb.
Put in oven at 375 for 45 min to 1 hour! serve with ice cream or whip cream!
