I feel like my kids don't get the strong start they deserve. I'm absolutely NOT a morning person and as a result often throw some dry cereal in their general direction whilst wearily rubbing my eyes. I stay away from sugary cereals (except in super rare instances), so I don't worry too much about that. But it still seems like they're getting a poor version of breakfast.
- Granola bars
- Whole wheat bagel with (natural) peanut butter
- Oat bran muffin
- Fruit
- Various fruit-yogurt smoothies
- Whole grain frozen waffles
- Fruit salad topped with yogurt
- Instant oatmeal
- High-fiber, low-sugar cereals (such as wheat/oat flakes, Grape-Nuts and Cheerios)
My question for you is this: Do you have any other ideas?? If yes, let's hear 'em!! :)
