Homemade Lip Balm!

I'm not sure if you all know about Delia (of Delia Creates blog), but if you don't... well, you should. Anyway, I was just perusing the internet and found this tutorial she just published about how to make Homemade Pink Tinted Lip Gloss. And I TOTALLY WANT TO DO IT! So I'm showing you all. And wondering who's up for a craft night. :)

Monogram Tag Blanket

So since I am in that time of my life that I have many friends having babies and I am invited to lots of baby showers I have been trying to think of something cute, cheap, unique, but also something that is helpful to have. So what did I do googled it! Ahhh gotta love google.... And tag blankets came up they are so cute, so I made one for a shower I was invited to this past weekend-

I made it out of scraps of fabric and ribbon I have laying around, and to add a little something I cut a plastic bag and sewed it on the inside, since babies love that sound. For a tutorial on a tag blanket go here.

Well I also wanted to do something unique and I found this tutorial here, about a monogramed tag blanket, which I love! I made one for my friend who recently had a baby. The baby's name starts with G that is why I did that letter if you can tell it is a letter G, I went kinda crazy on the tags. And if you are going to do a letter just be warned sewing around a curvy letter like G was kinda tricky but not too bad. Also I kinda wish I would have made the G larger, but that is for next time. I thought it turned out cute and a great personalized gift!

Laundry Vinyl

Becca, Aub and I had a late night girls night a few weeks ago, and amid the talking we got a project done. Shocker- I know!
Becca had the idea for the vinyl and my handy dandy silhouette cut it out. Isn't it cute, Bec has the best ideas!

Halloween decor!

My little sister Kendra made this cute little decoration! Isn't it sooooo cute! She used the little mini pumpkins, and cut the bats out of black card stock, not sure what she used for the stick things. It is sooooo cute!

Family Sign

My mom had this great idea for a cute little family sign. She had a bunch of frames that were the same style in different sizes and wanted to put each letter of the word Family in the frames. But she also wanted to have each letter be a different font. So that is where I came in, I played around with a lot of different fonts until we came up with this finished product:




What do you think? My mom was way happy with it, and I love it!

Spring Sign

So I made this cute little sign last night- and the best part about this sign is that it was made from things I already had! I am a craft pack rat, I like to have all this crafty stuff on hand and then I end up never using it! Which is why I had the wire! Anyway I made this to be the sample for a craft we will be doing at my family reunion this weekend.

By the way I made this using my silhouette I got for Christmas- it is awesome! It cuts any kind of paper, cardstock, and vinyl!
